This low-impact sculpting workout class, offered on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 PM until March 26th, is sure to turn the heat up during the winter coldness. Lisa will guide you through each pose with detailed instructions, offering modifications to suit your body and comfort level.

This workshop is perfect for individuals who want to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment. Your Instructor, Dr. Lisa Grunberger, has a doctorate in Comparative Religion and Philosophy and has been teaching yoga for over 25 years.  She's the author of Yiddish Yoga: Ruthie's Adventures in Love, Loss and the Lotus Position, poetry, plays and memoir.  When she's not teaching yoga, she moonlights as an English Professor at Temple University.

Looking to manifest love and compassion this Valentine's season, attracting the love you truly deserve?

Join Courtney in this mindful meditation-based coaching workshop to grow your confidence, compassion, and openness towards yourself and others. We will start with light movement and breath to center ourselves, then go into our meditation work. We will start with a Metta, or Loving Kindness meditation, originating from Buddhist mindfulness practices. From there, we will move into an affirmation based meditation to enhance and amplify our feelings of benevolence towards ourselves and others. Journaling and discussion will be infused between meditations to deepen the inner work.

How to prepare:

NAMI On Campus Perelman is a student-led group at the Perelman School of Medicine dedicated to mental health advocacy, education, and support for future healthcare providers. We work closely with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Philadelphia to bring resources, speakers, and advocacy opportunities to our campus. Movement, including yoga and pilates, plays a critical role in mental wellness, which is why we wanted to partner with Thrive for this class. Funds raised will support NAMI and AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), promoting mental wellness and suicide prevention efforts.

pilates mat fundraiser: hurricane helene

Help us raise funds to support the recovery of Western North Carolina. Jennie's hometown and the surrounding area were devastated by Hurricane Helene. In honor of her Pilates roots she will be teaching a mat class on Sunday, October 20th. Proceeds will help her first Pilates teacher, Brooke Bergdahl rebuild her Asheville studio, which had all of its equipment destroyed by flooding, and to an amazing non-profit, Be Loved Asheville. Be Loved is doing the important work of feeding people, providing water and other essential items during this challenging time.
